The ROS-OPAR system has the purpose to verify the eccentricity and ovality of gas turbine rotor disks and to indicate to the operator the possible processes to be carried for their (mechanical or laser) that detects the beam current of the individual discs along the circumference, on one or more revolutions of the rotor for each individual disk.
The signals obtained are processed to obtain information on the eccentricity and ovality of the individual discs. Alternatively, it is possible to manually enter eccentricity and ovality measurements acquired from other systems. The system provides decision support to the operator, suggesting sub-optimal machining and / or simulating the modification of the rotor axis following corrective machining hypothesized by the operator ("what if" mode).
